The Men, The Bar, The Story: Miguel's, Goa
In the quiet, pastel-toned lanes of Fontainhas, where every balcony still hums with stories of the old world, stands Miguel's - Cocktails & Petiscos, a 25-seater time capsule of the Gilded Age. Born out of nostalgia, craftsmanship, and a touch of madness, Miguel's isn't just another bar in Goa; it's a finely cut jewel in a heritage building called Bento Miguel, the very spirit from which it draws its name.
At Miguel's - Cocktails & Petiscos, everything, from the cocktails to the lighting, the glassware to the conversation, echoes an era when things were built to last and meant to be felt.
The Genesis
The idea took root at a university bar in Sussex called East Slope. Between lectures and last calls, Dhruv \"Tootsie\" Tuteja and Ankush Gujral dreamed of one day building their own bar - one that blended soul, substance, and style. Two decades later, that conversation turned into a company: East Slope Hospitality.
And then came Madhav Dayal, the third musketeer. A chef whose training took him from Cesar Ritz, Switzerland to Gaggan in Bangkok and back to India, he arrived in Goa with fire, finesse, and a quiet obsession for perfection. Together, the trio built Miguel's - Cocktails & Petiscos as an ode to craft, to do things properly, not quickly.
